Ok, get ready people because you aren't going to believe this. Me, Lena, was highly social today! Yes, me, the woman who is ridiculously social at work all day long but comes home and becomes a hermit did so many social things today you can hardly imagine it! Usually, my social life revolves around my few close friends and family and we all usually end up hanging out at one another's houses. But not today, my friends, not today.
First, I went to a party that W and M invited me to. It was a wake for the country! Lots of interesting people came through at intervals and everyone had to wear their favorite political t-shirt. I wore my "I was the victim of a vast right wing conspiracy and all I got was this lousy president" shirt. W and M wore the following shirts:
After the party we went to a coffee shop and had some lovely hot liquid beverages and then W and I went to see the new Bridget Jones movie which was cute and then followed that by going to a bar and seeing M play! That's like 4 social things in row. That's some serious social time, dude!
Seriously, it was a load of fun. I so enjoyed hanging out with my friends and I admit, it was nice to go to a complete strangers house and be at a party where I basically knew no one. It's vital for me to break out of my comfort zone occasionally and I did that today, and oddly, it wasn't terribly uncomfortable. Age is an amazing thing...
To continue with my smacky/kissy postings, I found while watching the new Bridget Jones movie that Hugh Grant has to be one of the finest kissers out there. Every time I see a movie with him in it and he kisses someone, well, his technique is fantastic! He seems to be rather adept at working that lower lip and yet, seems to concentrate on each lip an equal amount of time. Colin Firth also looks to be a fine kisser, though I think Hugh might rate better. However, Colin Firth makes me squirrelly whereas Hugh does not. So, I'll take Colin and just teach him how to kiss correctly.
This is possible, right?
Mmm... Hugh Grant. He is so freakin' yummy.

What a fun day...with fun people. I'm jealous. (How come all of our social events involve superhero themes?) And I bet not even once did you have to lean down and ask M or W if they needed to go potty...oh well...I will live vicariously through you....and by the way, I will make kissy/smacky noises with you anytime, although I'm a fearin' it's not what you have in mind.
